COMPANY PROFILE

What and who is DEZIBEL, really? Well, the name originates from the phrase, “decibel.” Decibel, or dB simply put, is a unit for measuring the intensity of sound. Hence, one could say that the phrase; DEZIBEL is our way of representing the intensity of our excitement for the brand.

Our tagline, “Sound Vision,” can be quantified as audible sound and visual that can be sighted – which is relevant to our core product, i.e. MP3 players; this phrase also represents our corporate foresight of the future that is having a sound vision

What is our vision? Our vision is to be the front-runner in our field of digital consumer electronics products with strong emphasis on R & D and to have our innovative products made affordable for everyone.

HISTORY

DEZIBEL is a homegrown Malaysian brand that is part of the LE KONG GROUP that was incorporated in Hong Kong since 2004 that has a turnover of USD 57 million in 2006. DEZIBEL has the backing of its own manufacturing and product sourcing facilities that caters for professional digital consumer electronics products. Our experience in this field in the past few years has greatly provided us with a strong platform to move to greater heights.

With the experience amassed overseas, the group has decided to relocate its business operation or profit centre back to Malaysia. Hence, LE KONG TECHNOLOGY SDN BHD was finally set up in 2007 to have the plan realized.

INNOVATION

Innovation is the driving force behind DEZIBEL’s success. In addition to the setting up of our R & D facilities here in the country, we possess with us more than 20 proprietary IP designs that enhance and compliment our product development activities as well as to support our plans to be part of the Malaysian Multi Super Corridor’s community someday.

Our tireless commitment to the technological advancement of our products and customers, have led us to continuous developments of innovative products such as MP3 players with touch-screen displays, TFT display sizes of 2.8” and above with exclusive designs that are proprietary to us.

We are also proud to have jointly developed models that are equipped with Bluetooth® and WiFi connectivity.

Meanwhile, technology marches on for DEZIBEL. Seeing that directions are pointing the way for navigation systems to seep into mainstream consumer culture, we shall soon add to our range of products, GPS satellite navigational and locator devices. Besides just providing hardware, we are going one step further in providing a comprehensive internet platform to lend value-added functionality, monitoring and security settings for our GPS locators that come with geo-fence settings and alerts.

Our proven sales track record, capabilities and sound business philosophy have led us to be in strategic alliance with leading global digital solutions controller or semiconductor makers such as ACTIONS SEMICONDUCTOR, SIGMATEL (headquartered in Austin, Texas), and INFINEON TECHNOLOGIES (headquartered in Munich, Germany), just to name a few.

Besides this, we are also a business partner of Blusens, (a major player in consumer electronics in Spain – www.blusens.com) and ALARTEC or Opera Wireless from Madrid, a leader in the development of wireless environment.

MARKETING

Together with innovation as our tool, the other strongest asset we have is our people. DEZIBEL has engaged a team of professionals to spearhead aggressive sales and marketing strategies to ensure our products flow into the market at the fastest possible pace and to have the brand confidence instilled in our customers the minute they have our products in their hands.

Our dreams for DEZIBEL do not only start with Malaysia alone, but optimistic plans are already in the pipeline for the brand to be introduced into South East Asia or Asia Pacific region as well.
